The Petroleum industry in Botswana is witnessing a transformative shift, driven by a landmark partnership established in August 2022 between Debswana Diamond Company and Botswana Oil Limited (BOL).

Notably, under this initiative, Botswana Oil has increased the ownership of citizen-operated trucks in the fuel transportation sector from a mere 3 percent to an impressive 25 percent. This translates to 116 Batswana-owned trucks out of a total of 400 trucks used for fuel transportation in the country.
